A public citizen-feedback platform built for Gujarat Police on WordPress and Elementor. Citizens submit feedback on police services through a form designed for low-friction completion across a very wide range of devices, literacy levels and connection speeds.

The problem
A government feedback form has an unusually broad audience: every device generation, every connection quality, and users who will abandon at the first confusing field. A polished single-page app would have excluded a meaningful share of the intended users, and the department needed to manage content without a developer.
How it was built
01Platform chosen for the operators, not the developer
WordPress was the right answer because the department needed to edit copy, add fields and publish updates without engineering involvement. A custom build would have been more satisfying to write and worse to hand over — a system nobody can update is a system that stops reflecting reality.
02Form design for completion, not for looks
Fields were ordered and grouped to minimise abandonment: plainly labelled inputs, no unexplained required fields, and validation that says what is wrong rather than only that something is. On a public service form, completion rate is the only metric that matters.
03Accessibility and device reach
Built to work on old Android browsers and slow connections, with legible type, adequate tap targets and no dependence on JavaScript for the core submission path. The audience is defined by who needs to reach it, not by who has a current phone.

WordPress
Hands editorial control to the department. For a public-sector site the maintenance model matters more than the architecture — content that cannot be updated without a developer goes stale.
Elementor
Lets non-technical staff adjust layout within a controlled design, rather than filing a ticket for every copy change.
PHP
Custom handling for form submission and validation where the plugin defaults were not adequate for the data being collected.

Questions this raises
Why use WordPress instead of a custom build for a government site?
Because the handover matters more than the architecture. The department needed to change copy and fields without engineering support, and a custom app makes every text edit a deployment. Choosing the stack the operators can actually maintain is a design decision, not a compromise.
